Friday Fun Day at Baypark
This Friday the 18th, Bay Venues staff are having a themed “I need a vacation day” to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis.
If you are attending our venue, and would like to contribute to this important cause, there will be a collection bucket available at the Arena.
Dress up in your favourite vacation outfit, or as your “dream destination.” The team/venue that raises the most money will be shouted morning tea/coffee on a day of their choice!
Donation of a gold coin will go directly to Multiple Sclerosis, so let’s get behind this great cause!
What is MS?
The Multiple Sclerosis Society of New Zealand (MSNZ) is a non-profit organisation formed to advocate for systemic change so people with MS in New Zealand have access to first world treatment, resources and services to improve their well-being and quality of life. The work of MSNZ aims to reduce the burden of MS on those diagnosed, their carers and families.
MSNZ also provides support, information, educational resources and training opportunities to our member organisations, 18 independent regional societies, who provide support to people living with MS in their communities. MS is a disorder of the central nervous system (CNS) which includes the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves. The term multiple sclerosis refers to multiple areas of scarring (sclerosis). The cause of MS is still not known.
